General Membership Meeting and BOD Elections 8/25/2020

Dear Pocket Little League Families,

We hope that you and your family are staying safe and wish you well during these challenging times. Pocket Little League remains hopeful that Little League Baseball will return for the Spring 2021 Season. In the meantime, we are working on a few programs that will benefit the youth in our community with safety as our priority. Be on the lookout for our new Sandlot program and conditioning program this Fall.

Pocket Little League will hold our annual General Membership meeting to elect the 2020-21 Board of Directors on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 7 to 8 p.m. through Zoom videoconferencing.

All Pocket community members are invited to join this meeting. If you would like to join, please email [email protected] for meeting link and password.

We highly encourage those of you whose child(ren) are in the T-Ball, A, and AA divisions to join the Board, as you are the future of the league. There are several positions available to get your feet wet and familiarize yourselves with the Board’s commitments and duties. The time commitment is normally a 1.5 hour monthly Board Meeting, beginning in September, plus the time commitment for the job that you are elected to do.

Following the general membership meeting, the newly elected Board of Directors will meet to elect officers for the upcoming season. A list of board positions and description of roles/responsibilities are posted on our website and bylaws. We are especially looking for a Treasurer and Head Groundskeeper for the upcoming season.  With your help, we can continue to provide lasting memories and life lessons for the youth in our wonderful community.

Lastly, we would like to thank our outgoing Board of Directors for their service to the league and our community. Many of our outgoing Board of Directors have served for over 5-6 years and have made a HUGE impact in the lives of so many children. THANKS!!!!

Sincerely,

Pocket Little League
