Due to the recent developments associated with the spread of COVID-19, the PLL Board of Directors has postponed Opening Day ceremonies previously scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020.
Each year, this event draws as many as 800 people to Conlin Field, many of whom are grandparents and extended family members from all over California. We know that this is a beloved tradition for our PLL family, and so we are not canceling – but rather postponing – these activities for a later date. We are following the moratorium issued by Governor Gavin Newsom and the California Department of Public Health, regarding events involving more than 250 individuals, to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Many other Little Leagues in our District have also cancelled/postponed their Opening Day ceremonies.
